25 hand-crafted shops
Coffee, burgers, tacos, pizza, boba, poutine & Timmies, ice cream, BBQ, fried chicken — plus a doctor’s office, hair salon, plumber, and one absurd “Rocket Surgery” shop. Each has its own palette, menu, customers, and vibe.
Native iPad & iPhone — iOS 17+
25 hand-crafted shops. A real tap-to-pay animation kids can’t stop pressing. A tab mode that lets one iPad host and phones take orders like an Applebee’s server. No accounts, no ads, no data collection.

Coffee, burgers, tacos, pizza, boba, poutine & Timmies, ice cream, BBQ, fried chicken — plus a doctor’s office, hair salon, plumber, and one absurd “Rocket Surgery” shop. Each has its own palette, menu, customers, and vibe.
A springy, punchable payment button with a proper “PAID” celebration. Optional tip prompts. Switch between Tap-to-Pay and Cash mode so kids can practice giving change.
One iPad becomes the register. Phones scan a QR to join as “customer devices” and add items to a running tab. Close the tab with a tip on the phone; the iPad rings it out. All peer-to-peer, no server, no cloud.
Pretend Customers — named personas walk up with their usual order. Take Real Orders — a real person tells you what they want and you type it in like a real barista.
No accounts. No ads. No analytics. No trackers. No third-party SDKs. Play activity lives on the device and never leaves.
No in-app purchases. No external links inside the play area. All content is finite, curated, and reviewable. Parents can hide any shop in Settings.
Every shop has its own menu, modifiers, customers, waiting-screen copy, and color palette. Adding a new one is a JSON file plus a palette.
Real captures from iPad and iPhone. Every shop has its own hand-picked color palette, SF-Symbol menu icons, and per-shop waiting-screen copy.
Let’s Play Shop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
The app stores your app settings (sound, music, payment mode, hidden shops) in UserDefaults on the device. Session play data (current orders, tab state) exists only in memory and is discarded when the app closes. None of this leaves the device.
The app uses Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity framework to pair an iPad host with nearby iPhones for multi-device tab mode. This traffic is strictly peer-to-peer over your local network or Bluetooth and never touches an internet server. The app makes no other network connections. It does not phone home.
The app requests camera access only when you tap “Scan a Menu.” This is used solely to read a QR code shown by another device on your local network. No images or video are captured, stored, or transmitted.
Let’s Play Shop is designed with children in mind and complies with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it also collects none from children under 13.
